With a little over a month to go before the release of the 2014-2015 Catalogue, it’s a busy (and exciting!) time here at the office! But sometimes…that excitement gets the best of us and, well, next thing we know we’re mesmerized by an adorable kitten video and forget to include that video’s organization in our #whatsupwednesday blog. This was the case for Stone Soup Films, which, last week, sent us a video hot off its screen debut (courtesy of Stone Soup Doc-in-a-Day volunteers) about the Washington Humane Society. Joseph’s House celebrated Blossom Ewin (left), one of their nurse’s aides, on the occasion of her retirement. Scott Sanders, Deputy Director, says of Blossom: “Her big heart, compassionate care, and mothering ways have endeared her to legions of Joseph’s House residents, volunteers, staff, and friends.”
Crossroads Community Food Network (new ’14-’15 Catalogue charity) enjoyed this beautiful Wednesday at their weekly market where they double the value of federal nutrition benefits (like food stamps or WIC) spent at market for low-income shoppers – fresh fruits and veggies for all!

Latino Student Fund received over 10 boxes of supplies from a surprise back to school drive thanks to U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Center for Education & Workforce!

A big congratulations to each of these nonprofits on another outstanding week!
